Hollywood’s premier nightlife venue, Cabana Club is teaming up with Fusion Fridays “Where Fashion Meets Music” to present: “Who’s Next” Designer Competition & Fashion Show. NINE Designers will come together on one night, one stage, to duke it out for a $500 cash prize. Hosted by the Fabulous Celebrity Stylist “Mr Bradshaw” and ANTM “Sabrina Arydad” with special guest judges Angela Dean (Designer of DeanZign), Alakazia (Designer of Le Chapeau), Fatima (Owner, Runway Boutique) and Taylor (Owner, Taylor’s Joint). From Ready-to-Wear to Exotic Couture, these FAB creations will Rock the Runway!

Project Ethos is planning something big for fashion week. Most of the details are in: Project Ethos is on October 24th, 2009 at he House of Blues on Sunset. The featured designers are Li Cari, Street Youth Couture from Unwanted Kids (or as I like to call them SYC FUK), Garden Party, Rina Palma, Goci, and Cowgirl Heaven. Cowgirl Heaven by Houstina Summers in Santa Monica
The Cowgirl Heaven by Houstina Summers collection was a very unique style of clothing. Too much for my taste but perhaps there are buyers/consumers out there who would have enjoyed the overly complicated garment constructed dresses, and just viewed the designer as being detailed… Well for me, I got lost in “translation” and was even more thrown off by the color selection for this line. Purple & black, and pink & black are beautiful colors but to mix them with a very complex constructed garment is TOO MUCH and very distracting. There were a few dresses that actually caught my eye but for the most part, the dresses were too busy. It makes you wonder if the designer was going for Avant Garde…
On a positive note the model choreography was tastefully done and showed that the designer had great intentions for her collection but could not quite synthesize the choreography with her collection!
