One Designer, One Night, One Celebration
I was speaking to Peter Eaton Gurnz, the Founder/CEO of BOXeight last night (or this morning, it was 2 AM at the time) and he gave me an exclusive scoop. I had sent emails to their PR Staff and casually asked one of the employees in passing but I got no answer as to weather or not we were going to see the return of BOXeight Fashion Week this season. So I went straight to the source and I got the best news! YES, BOXeight is returning. Peter said, “We are doing a fashion week this season. It will be around the the 24th, or include the 24th, whatever that Thursday, Friday, Saturday is.” He went on to say that it will be different from previous seasons in that each night will feature a single designer and will be more of a celebration of that designer. It will not necessarily be a formal runway presentation but possibly an installation, informal modeling, a film, a musical performance or a combination of it all. Peter said that it will definitely include art. LookBookLA readers, you heard it here first. Now LA Fashion Week feels right.
More details will be announced soon, dates listed here are subject to change as the line up of designers is confirmed.
